Country Cottage Masks Ensuite Misery
I was lucky enough to be invited to spend a week down in the west country with family recently. After a blissfully incident free journey of almost 5 hours . . . . We found our accommodation was in a complex of about 5 different cottages, all stone conversions of various farm cottage/workshops. My one was pretty old, fully refurbished some years ago, and this was beginning to show – especially in the bathroom/shower room end of each cottage.
The cottages were converted farm and mining village properties. Adequate but desperately in need of some tlc. Especially the two ensuites. Goodness they were basic. A nice shiny white hand basin mounted in a worktop sat atop some nice narrow shelves or cabinets would have gone down a treat and I feel sure a local bathroom specialist could attend to that with no trouble whatsoever. The showers were dreadful. One drip or two seemed to be the cry!
